Headaches

I hate headaches. I think they are the most annoying things to get. Sometimes you take medicine and they go away, and sometimes they linger on and on. I have debated on whether or not I should share somethings. I don't like to let others, well other than my family and really close friends, know when I am sick or if I have "things" to deal with. Well today I thought I would share, besides, no one really reads my blog!
Lately, I have had headaches, a lot of them. Today when I got up I had a headache, a bad one. I recently went to the doctor and he sent me to get a CT scan which showed that there is a bone missing in my sinus cavity, exposing my brain, and leaking small amounts of spinal fluid. I was sent to an ENT, who sent me to a otolargologist who specializes in these types of things. He probed up my nose, not a pleasant experience, and saw the exposed brain on a computer monitor. I was able to wear these special goggles and saw what he saw. Many years ago I had sinus surgery and the surgeon removed a piece of bone that should not have been removed. I will not pursue a law suit and am very grateful that I never had meningitis, as that could have been life threatening. I left the office feeling nervous, a little scared, but glad that I had an answer to the headache problem. My family wanted to go on a short vacation to Magic Mountain, which I doubt I will ride the roller coasters, but wanted to be with my family. The thought of twisting, upside down turning didn't sound pleasing to me, so I am going to go and read a book. My surgery is scheduled for the 25th. As the date gets closer, I am getting more and more nervous about it. I really worry about my church calling. I worry about visiting teaching and the new move in visits. I worry that I am putting added pressure on the women who serve with me to take up the slack. I know, I am a bit of a worry wart, but that's who I am.
Thanks for listening and hopefully my next blog will be pictures of my completed room!

Silly girl! Don't fret about your calling, that is why you have a great group of ladies to fill in the gaps while you rest easy after your surgery. I hope everything goes well and that this will alleviate your headaches.

Who wouldn't be nervous, for heaven sakes girl, give yourself a break. And by the way that is what your counselors are for. Let them have the blessings of serving. Relax, take care of yourself so that you can come back even stronger. I wish I could take the headaches away from you, but I really do care how you feel. Can't wait for lunch on Wednesday. Please call and let me know what I can do for you. Crazy week, Nana gets off hospice, wednesday is her last day so tomorrow lots of papers to sign and then we are off to the doctors with her, fun times. I will call you when we get back. Be headache free...

You have so many people rooting for you, loving you, willing to help you, and care for you that you need to let them. You need to take your turn and let others serve you. We love you so much silly!
