WHEW, Glad It's the Weekend!

This past week has been a crazy one. It started Monday when Brenda and I went to buy 13 turkeys. We started at Albertsons because theirs were on sale, however the ad stated "one per customer." Hum, we need more than one, so we talk to the store manager. No, we either have to go through the line 13 times, get 11 of our friends to come and buy a turkey, or try our luck at another store. We left the store and headed for Bashas, but they didn't have turkey's on sale and we had to have them by Tuesday. Back to Albertsons we go. We load up 13 turkeys and then proceed to the self check isle. What's the difference of going through the regular line 13 times, or just doing 13 separate transactions at the self check isle? We figure if you won't just ring them up at the sale price all at once, then your customers can wait while we do it ourselves. Now finding a place to store the turkeys. Luckily, Crystall, Brenda, Valerie, and myself are able to squeeze turkeys into our freezers.

Tuesday it was off the YW/YM to get Thanksgiving boxes assembled. Once again, I am glad that I am serving in relief society as I would be in an early grave if I were with the youth. But, the boxes got assembled and delivered with their help and those fine leaders that have the patience of Job.

Wednesday I do my visting teaching which never takes just a short time. But it is done and I am glad I was able to see my newly formed visiting teaching friends.

Thursday. What is that leaking from the bottom of the freezer? Oh no, my freezer items are not frozen! Our reliable, stand up freezer has died and I have a ton of meat that needs to be frozen or refrigerated. My freezer in my fridge is very small and very packed. Luckily Brenda is home and can take those meats that are not completely defrosted. The rest goes in the trash.

10:00 a. m. on Friday, Tommy and I are off to Costco to look at freezers, however upon arriving we find out they don't sell freezers. Where was it that Sheila said the Sears scratch and dent store is? She's not home so off to Best Buy to price compare, and maybe Andy can get us a deal. (perks of having a son that work for Best Buy) The size we want is $750 and they don't have one in stock. Off to Spencers Appliances and the exact same freezer is on sale for $550. (Andy can't get that big of a discount) Now off to the warehouse to pick up the freezer. By the time the freezer is home, old one is pulled out, and new one installed, it is 5:00p.m. We still have to get ready and go to a wedding reception. By the time we finally get home it is 8:45 p.m. and we are both exhausted.
I am glad today is Saturday and we are back to the normal every Saturday routine!

Whew! What a week. I found a bag of cranberries and gravy in my trunk that the ever reliable youth forget to grab. So...you want it?

That sounds like the story of my life. It is such a sinking feeling when you see water coming out of the bottom of your freezer. I just see dollar signs in the puddle! Hope things are a bit more restfull now!
