I'm Out!!

I have been dieting for a little over 2 weeks now and have not lost, but gained 2 pounds. Why is it that I can work out 5 days a week, cut back on eating, and still gain weight? So I called my friend and told her, "I'm done!" I gotta say that it feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off of my shoulders. Too bad it couldn't have been my hips or my tummy! Maybe now that I can quit obsessing over it, I can relax and actually loose a few pounds. We'll see.

Tommy has started a new work shift where he works every other Saturday and on the weekends he doesn't work, he has Friday through Monday off. It has been hard for me to get use to this schedule. First of all, I can't turn on the vacuum because he can't hear the TV. (If you know me and my obsession with vacuuming everyday, then you know how hard this is.) Second, when I get ready to leave I get the "where are you going, and when are you coming back" drill. I hope retirement is not too soon. Maybe I can talk him into picking up a second job. Just Kidding!

Well, how does that work out? I am glad you feel better and hopefully you can relax and lose what you want.

Having a hubby home all the time would drive me crazy too, does he need a hobby?

Well I think you look great and don't need to diet anyway. If your hubby doesn't have a hobby just come up with a list of honey do's. After that he will probably pick one up really quick!

I like Karla's suggestion! I used to have my hubby home almost all day for years. I loved it, but my house wasn't very clean. I don't get anything done when he is home! So now, he works a more normal shift and my house stays pretty clean. Shocking to those who know me!

Good luck with the diet! or lack therof!

Like I said before: AS IF you need to lose weight...but I have hit upon a solution. Set it up so that you are not allowed to vacuum unless the scale says you've lost weight in the previous week. Of course, vacuuming burns calories, so...plus if you weren't spending your days vacuuming you would be eating instead. Okay, bad idea, sorry I brought it up. I can see that you are already stressed at not being able to vacuum as much as is your custom--this would not help.
