Mother's Day

Today is Saturday, the day before Mother's Day and as I was going about my daily chores I got to thinking that why can't they dedicate a whole week or weekend to mothers? I had a class that I went to that began at 10:00 this morning. Yesterday was really hectic so I got up at 6:30 so I could clean bathrooms and get my laundry started. After the bathrooms I had time to vacuum and mop my floors. I needed to give myself a good 1/2 hour so I could get showered, put on makeup, iron clothes, and be out the door by 9:15 so I could pick up my friend and head to Phoenix for the class. The class was over by 3:15 or so and we left to head to Walmart to buy a couple of cards and a mothers day gift. I got home at 4:30 to find a note from my dear husband telling me he had gotten home from the father and sons outing and now was out golfing. Andy and Eddie were both asleep on their beds and I still had laundry to wash and fold. What the life my men have; sleeping, golfing, not a care in the world. I know I should have just let all of it go, but then I would have to deal with a HUGE mess on Monday and I wouldn't be able to relax on Sunday. Tomorrow I am not doing anything. No cooking, no dishes, no picking up, NADA! It is going to be MY day. To all of you mothers, mothers to be, grandmothers, and wonderful women, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
